Classes Overview
As a Social LMS, Classes on Linkr are lively, active spaces with various ways for learners to collaborate and share ideas.
Linkr’s Classes are ideal for higher education and adult education coursework, professional development, and virtual exchange.

The features of a Class
Classes currently have four tabs, each of them serving a specific purpose:
Conversations:
The Conversations Tab provides a space for free and open conversation in threads with scaffolded replies between class members. It also allows the Class Manager(s) to post messages to the whole class and spark exciting conversations. (Learn more about Conversations)
Publications:
Publications associated with the class are organized on the Publications tab. A class manager or member publishes a piece and associates it with a class. The Publications tab aggregates all associated publications so that visitors to the publications page of a class can explore and interact with relevant publications. (Learn more about Publications)
Class Material:
In the Class Material tab, Educator(s) can share documents and files, videos, recordings of lectures, and assignments. The Educator(s) of the class will be able to add and manage the Class material tab and only the members of the class will be able to access it. (Learn more about Class Material)
Members:
The Members tab is where Educators can manage who can access their class. They can find the class invite link and approve, reject, or remove class members. This is also where course managers can also convert members to Co-Managers of the class.
How to create a Class in a linkr
If you’re an Administrator of a linkr, simply click on the + Add class button in your linkr and complete the corresponding form:
In the Class properties section of that form, this new class will be associated with your linkr:
When you have completed creating the class, it will appear in the Classes tab in your linkr. Members of your linkr may ask to join the class, but only people accepted to the class by the Class Manager(s) will be able to access it.
This class will also conveniently appear in the dashboard of all Class members and managers.
How to create a Class outside of a linkr
All Linkr users can create Classes from their dashboard by clicking on the + Add class button on the top right of the Classes section of their dashboard and completing the class creation form:
As long as you’re a member of it, this class will conveniently appear in your dashboard so that you can easily come back to it whenever you need to.
How to edit or delete a Class
A Class Manager can edit or delete a Class by clicking on the three-dot menu at the top right of any Class card:
How to add Members to a class
Adding new Members to a Class is very easy! Class Managers can go to the Members tab of that class and click on the + Add Member button:
A window will appear with the option to copy the direct invitation link to that Class. Class managers an share this link with potential members. There is also a handy QR code to share during a live session:
Once users have clicked on this link, they will be invited to create a linkr account and to ask for access to this class.
Once they have requested access, you will get an email notification asking you to accept or refuse the members. The Members tab will show an alert with the number of members that requested access:
To grant them access, simply go to the Members tab, click on the three-dots menu at the top right of the User card, and Accept or Refuse them:
Once you made your choice, the users will receive an email notification to inform them that they have been granted or refused access to the Class.
How to remove Members from a class
Removing Members from a Class is very easy! Class Managers can go to the Members tab of that class and click on the three-dots menu at the top right of the User card they would like to remove, then select “Delete”:
How to add Co-Managers (Co-Educators) to a class
Adding new Co-Managers (Co-Educators) to a Class is very easy! First, invite them to the class!
Then, as a Class Manager, simply go to the Members tab of that class and click on the three-dots menu at the top right of the User card you would like to remove, then select “LOREM”:
